Over the past three years David Lawrence has learned to “play” (he uses this term loosely) the violin, along with his daughter Rose. Mrs. Benison, the village fiddle teacher, is referenced as “Mrs. B” on the interior. The “Grade 2” book that Rose is now studying also appears. The stickers on the case are from places David visited 2002 – apart from Paris, where he never quite got for his 20th wedding anniversary. “Fiddlin’ Folk” is a children’s violin group, run by Mrs. Benison, that plays in church concerts and village fetes throughout the year. The trademark acorn is in the collecting hat. “Leclair” is named for a French composer who wrote many works for violin. Fixed edition of 2500 Version One and 2500 Version Two worldwide.
